Special Products Registry entry
Specifies the product code for one or more products deemed to be "special". As with Expedited Products, an order that contains a "special" product has greater priority in the processing queue (an order with a "special product" is assigned the highest queue priority, moving ahead of orders with an Expedited Product and pick-up orders).
Note: Only for use by Service New Brunswick.
In New Brunswick all orders are placed in a processing queue. A number of factors can affect the priority of an order in the queue, including where the order was taken (over the web or at a counter), whether the product is being picked up, whether an expedited fee was paid (see Expedited Products Registry entry) and whether an operator has flagged the order as special
.
This entry specifies the codes for one or more "special" products. When an order enters the system it is checked for one of these special codes and if present, the priority of the order is increased (an order with a "special product" is assigned the highest queue priority, moving ahead of orders with an Expedited Product and pick-up orders).
